Chandlers were featured recently in Red Line the dealer magazine for Massey Ferguson for their success in sales, service and parts support for Massey Ferguson products. The article also goes on to mention the UK first of Chandlers achieving the 5 star level of AGCO dealer standards for Massey Ferguson in 2009, a rigorous set of world wide standards for best practices for sales, service and parts customer service.

Chandlers Belton service technician John Harvey has been awarded by AGCO the highly coveted Challenger Service Technician of the year award 2009. The award was made by Robert Todd of AGCO at the recent awards ceremony in recognition of the outstanding level of customer service and technical knowledge on the Challenger tracked tractors. John was well supported in his achievement by the service team at Chandlers, including Belton Workshop Manager Clive Swingler, and Chandlers Group Service Manager Nigel Bean. Together they have played an important role in achieving the highest level of AGCO dealer standards for Challenger, 5 star, also a first for a UK dealer.

LAMMA Show 2009 attracted record crowds with an estimate attendance of over 40,000 people over the two days according to LAMMA Show Chairman Tony Lighton. Despite a poor weather forecast for the second day of the show (and some traffic issues - down simply to the volume of traffic), attendance was still excellent on the second day, on top of record crowds on day one. Show Chairman Tony Lighton confirmed that despite some rumours being discussed at the show, LAMMA Show was not and would never be for sale, and that LAMMA Show 2010 would be held at the excellent Newark Show ground and this would continue indefinitely - with hopefully greater co-operation from the local Police to assist in managing the traffic ! The mood at the show was positive, with the falling pound strengthening the export price of cereals, helpfully publicised at the show by Gleddals. Along with record crowds there were a record number of exhibitors, with all of Chandlers suppliers in attendance, displaying a huge quantity of tractors and machinery of all descriptions and sizes. Chandlers show stand indoors in the Lady Eastwood Pavilion was the place to be on the second day when the inevitable January weather arrived.
The AGCO
stand was supported by Chandlers with a merchandising
trailer, supplying all types of branded clothing and toys from
AGCO. This proved to be a great success, with a large number of
customers from all over the country queuing up to buy branded
clothing and toys keen to be seen associated with the always
growing AGCO,
and
the strong
brands they represent with Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Challenger
coats by far the most popular throughout the show.
On display for the first time in the UK was the award winning new MF8690, which judging by the muddy trampled ground surrounding it was the most viewed machine in the show ground. The MF8690 along with the rest of the tractor range were on display in their new colour scheme, of Ferguson Grey Chassis and Massy Red, in recognition of the founders of Massey Ferguson now more than 50 years ago.
18/12/08 Chandlers Fly the Flag for Massey Ferguson, Fendt and Challenger. In celebration of a great year for all three franchises, Chandlers fly the flag for MF, Fendt and Challenger at all their branches.
17/12/08 Chandlers
Roadshow 2008 proves to be a great success. Aimed
at showing farmers North of Lincoln what Chandlers has to
offer,
the
event proved a great success drawing both customers
local to the site near to Nettleham and customers from as
far afield as Boston, Stamford and Spalding. Despite cold
weather
and
rain immediately prior to the event - which made ground conditions
difficult - the event was well attended on both days with
close to 400 people in all, including the students from Riseholme
college as part of their agricultural engineering course. Demonstrations
went ahead on the recently harvested sugar beet fields surrounding
the site, with the chance for all to try out something different.
Massey Ferguson displayed the Autoguide self steering system
on a 6499 tractor with a He-Va combi-lift and disc roller
cultivator and Challenger displayed the same system on an
MT765B with the SMS Finisher F1. While Fendt displayed their
grunty 4 cylinder 415 model with a Lemken 5 furrow plough.
Customers and manufacturers alike were well fed and looked
after with catering by B&S Catering - run by a local customer
Stuart Ranby and his wife from Retford.
During
the event a drivers clinic was run
for MF, Fendt and Challenger, and interested parties had one
on one instruction from the manufacturers area
sales representatives getting to the bottom of some of the
more technical aspects of tractor operation. Also on display
at the
event was Chandlers local area service manager Paul Cattermole
and his mobile workshop. He was busy meeting customers
who had not
previously seen into the mobile workshop, and they were impressed
by the set up, and range of jobs he could tackle on farm at
the first visit, with a broad range of special service tools,
laptop
diagnostics and direct parts ordering via the internet. The
only people busier than Paul, were local area salesmen Sean
Stanfield
and Ian Sharpe, who were flat out both days showing customers
around the large amount of machinery on display, and taking orders
! Look out for coverage of the event in the January edition of the Farmers Guide magazine. Chandlers would like to thank Riseholme College and the University of Lincoln for their hospitality and kind use of their Lodge Farm Yard.
